Kos - please see the thread in the Premium Forum started by me. As I've stated - as far as we can tell the ad situation is fixed since we cannot duplicate the problem from Premium Members.
I agree we need a Jump it Down for when PSPU posts something not PSP related. Which is all the time.
Ads aren't that big of a deal. I use Firefox and The Adblock extension, so I don't see any ads at all. :)
#37 - We will discuss having a "Jump it Down" feature as well.
"...when PSPU posts something not PSP related. Which is all the time."
Again, another case of someone over-exaggerating, being too picky, or someone who just enjoys complaining. As I previously mentioned, point out one article currently on the front page of PSPU that isn't PSP related.
#38 - For a Premium Member who has donated, having ads is a big deal. As we've mentioned many times, we cannot duplicate the problem and have been trying to fix it for weeks now. Doing so requires detailed input from those of you who ARE experiencing ads and shouldn't be.
jump it up is cool. It lightens up the blog. way to go
@39
"point out one article currently on the front page of PSPU that isn't PSP related."
FFVII Pirate Gets Busted
#37 - Anything off topic that we think our PSPupdates readers would like to see is placed in the Off topic category. I can prety confidently say that everything posted on PSPUpdates is either about new games, homebrew, or firmware news. How can either of those categories not be PSP related?
@ those that don't like this feature. Most people accept now the ideas of democracy. If you are well-versed in the ideas of democracy; you may realise that at the time of me posting this, this article has had 495 Jumps. Personally, i hail this feature as a great success.
#41 - The PSP is the only device that runs UMD movies, so UMD movies are definitely PSP releated
Edited by Kyle M. (Q.J. NET Staff) , because:
Comment added to.
Jake...dude....dont mind this guys, they are just making stupid comments and complaining about this, because they are BORED...
What about the update?
It was supposed to be out today? Doesnt it?
digg ftw
What's next, a weekly podcast of two QJ staff discussing some of the top Jumed Up blog posts while enjoying some beers?
Great feature, but a slight bug. I see there are over 200 or whatever 'jumps' But as i type this and scroll to the top, i see it shows theres a zero. When i 'jump it' it stil says zero, but updateso n the front page.
Thanks,
Josh
#47: LOL! Probably not. But we are planning on increasing the amount of exclusive and original content for you guys to read. :)
Would you like a podcast? LOL
This is a great new feature!! I like it!
PLEASE REMOVE ANONYMOUS COMMENTS!!!!!!
#48: Yes, that is a slight bug that we already noticed yesterday and is in the process of being fixed. Until then, the Jump counter doesn't seem to work in the comment/individual article view - only on the front page list.
Ok, thanks for the reply, xD
Josh
How 'bout you add downvoting, too?
800!! YEAH BABY. I WILL MAKE HISTORY. OH YES I WILL
Instead of Developing nice new cool features make the whole site browser compatible! Site doesn't look good AT ALL in opera (even identified as ie or Mozilla)
I am Forced to Read the RSS because of this
lol, it is
HEHEH I MADE IT JUMP UP FROM 0 (from guy in post # 15!)
FAKER! I made it jump from 0, not you, i made the first comment and first jump...
u suck
its 4/20 where the ***** is the new frimware..."sigh"..sony...sony..your going to get *****ing bankcrupt..
It would be more useful if you had a "Page 2" articles section for your posts not directly related to the PSP. For example, your FF VII on youtube article belongs on a Page 2.
-bobics
lol....in comments section it still says 0! :D
Seems almost like a rip of digg, I think
BOOYEAH!
I was #19. PSPupdates has generaly had a lot of good stuff, but I am posting to this topic from the 360updates site. Way too many of the news updates over here are stupid things like rumors, month old screenshots, general videogame news, and and jack thompson. They even post about the PS3 sometimes, when this should be 360 related news. I want to "shoot it down" on every one of these poor news posts.
Definitely a ripoff. But the thing is, it's actually kinda lame to use the system with only a handful of news articles. digg only displays the popular articles, eliminating redundancy and lameness, as opposed to this situation where OLD news will stay on top just because it's good news. Lame? No doubt.
You can just refresh your page and do some other thing, so you can keep raising the number...

As I'm sure many of you have noticed by now, we have a new addition to the QJ.NET Blogs - the "Jump it Up" box! This allows our readers to "vote" on an article if they enjoy reading it! "But why?" you might ask. The answer is simple! By voting for articles you like, it gives us (and our bloggers) a clear indication of what kind of news our readers (that means YOU!) want to see posted on our blogs. So if you like what you see, just "Jump it up!"
