If you have a problem keeping your photo's subject in the middle of your frame and you can't keep your hands from shaking too much when taking pictures, then the new Casio Exilim EX-Z700 might just be what you need. One of the most interesting features of the EX-Z700 is Auto Framing which, as its name implies, helps you center your subjects in the frame. Taking pictures of dynamic subjects like active children will not be problematic at all with Casio's new digicam. As for those blurry pics, you won't have to worry about them because the EX-Z700 also has Anti-Shake DPS as one of its amazing features. The EX-Z700 is the newest addition to Casio's Exilim family, and it definitely stands out - its 2.7-inch LCD is big and bright, and mind you, this is a 7.5-megapixel camera. I don't know about you, but that's enough for me to want one. There's no word yet on its availability and pricing, but rest assured we'll keep you posted |

Casio Europe have announced that they will be soon be releasing the Exilim Card EX-S600D. Based entirely on the Ex-S600, which came out last October, this model adds the functionality of video recorded in DivX format! Yes you heard, DivX. One of the most popular formats of video around, this compresses footage into a smaller size with lower loss of quality than rival formats. Other main features it took from its predecessor include, DSP Anti shake technology, long battery life (average 300 still images), revive shot for bringing old pictures back to life again and also the Past movie, which records movies 5 seconds before the button is pressed. All these features are very ingenious. Hardware wise it includes a 6.0 megapixel CCD 1/2.5 sensor capable of resolutions up to 2816 x 2112 pixels, 3x optical zoom, and a 84'950 pixel 2.2" display. Memory is in the form of SD/MMC cards, or the internal 8.3MB memory. Because of its weight and small form factor, its a very popular unit in sales, and prepare for its new features to increase those sales. However, the only people taking advantage of this new release, will be those in Europe only.

If you're in the market for a digital camera that packs a lot of photographic power in a small, attractive package, you might take a look at the new EXILIM ZOOM EX-Z5 by Casio. With 5 megapixel resolution, a 3X optical zoom and a 2.5" display, it appears to have all an experienced shutterbug could want. On the other hand, it also features a number of handy "fail-safe" mechanisms for the novice.Among these are the "Easy Mode," which prevents the user from accidentally changing settings (if you've ever taken a close-up picture with the long-distance lens or forgotten to set the flash, you'll know what this means). This camera also features an "Anti-Shake" Digital Signal Processor, so if you're trying to take that perfect shot without a tripod, you won't have to worry too much about a blurry image. The Auto Macro function keeps your pictures in focus, and - for those of us who have forgotten to remove a lens cap or open the shutter - the Quick Shutter function. One of the neatest features of the EX-Z5, however, is its ability to literally restore old and faded photos. This instrument has its own "Revive Shot" function that allows the photographer to capture old photos straight out of an album and use the EX-Z5's own digital restoration capabilities to bring old favorite snapshots back to life. The EX-Z5 will be available in Europe and North America starting at the end of this month. |

![]() Just when everybody thought that 8 megapixels has ended the megapixel war, Casio introduces the latest in its slim and stylish Exilim Zoom series - Exilim Z1000, a 10.1 megapixel digital camera powered by a 1/1.8 inch format, high resolution CCD. Resulting in clear-cut images even at poster sizes, Exilim Z1000 also makes taking pictures easier with its 2.8 inch wide format LCD display. This extra screen space allows for other great functions such as simultaneous viewing of a wide angle, a telephoto shot, and a convenient right side set of icon controls to exist. The latest Exilim beauty also comes with an internal 8MB flash memory plus 3x optical and 4x digital zoom. The same things you loved about the Exilim series - Anti Shake DSP and Super Bright display - are still intact. Now that Casio has come up with a 10 megapixel camera, will we expect another megapixel war? Let's just wait and see. |

You've been amazed by the features of the EX-Z850 (especially because it's a 8.1-megapixel camera), but you may also want to test the other Exilim cameras that Casio has introduced. The Exilim EX-Z600 which is the upgraded version of the Z500 is a 6-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom lens. It has a bigger LCD screen which is 2.7 inches big which adjusts to the brightness of the surrounding when you're viewing the screen outdoors. It also has a longer battery life than the Z500 and is available in a variety of colors - brown, blue, silver, red and black.
Also included in Casio's new digicam releases is the 6.0-megapixel EX-Z60 which has a slim body like the EX-Z600. The EX-Z60's features include a 2.5-inch LCD screen, Quick Shutter function, Auto Macro, Anti-Shake and has 33 scene modes. It also has an on-screen guidance which tells the user if he's taking blurry shots or if he needs to adjust the camera. Because the two Casio digital cameras include all these functions in their lightweight 115-gram bodies, they cost more than the compacts being sold now. The Exilim EX-Z600 will sell for $599 while the EX-Z60 will be $499.

If you are a huge fan of Casio Digital cameras and like supporting charitable causes, then you'll be interested in the eBay auction that will run April 4th - 14th. The Casio Exilim cameras are limited editions (available in Red and Brown) that offer the eBay 'best shot' mode. So I guess add eBay fanatic to the list of people who may be into this auction. The cameras' eBay mode is the interesting tidbit here. The mode supports auto macro, for tight, highly detailed shots of smaller items. Additionally, the images are optimized both in size and compression for direct upload to eBay, without any software-based editing necessary. This mode is intended to aid serious eBay-ers with getting their items 'to market' as quickly and painlessly as possible. All proceeds from the auctions will go to the schools in New Orleans that were affected by Hurricane Katrina. |

![]() Small things must be the fad these days. The digital cameras from Sony and Canon to be released this March and April all have this same feature: they're small. If that's going to be the standard of what's "in" when it comes to digital cameras, then the Casio EX-S600 is definitely IN. This 9x6x1.5cm 6-megapixel camera can play MPEG-4 movies and has a 2.2-inch LCD screen, 3x optical zoom lens and can hold an SD memory card with 128MB to 1GB storage capacity. The only thing I find not so impressive with this digicam is its price (which I hope was proportional to its size): $750. Like I said, don't let the size fool you. |
